LITTLE NEXT DOOR, LOS ANGELES

For my work holiday lunch, my E! Fashion Police team went to Little Next Door in Los Angeles. The Little Door, located right next to the Little Next Door, is the fancier restaurant and is one of LA’s best gemspots- it’s French, very cozy, has a lot of charm, and serves great food. It’s on the expensive side-but they have Little NEXT Door which is the extension of the Little Door restaurant and it’s a more casual/cafe version of the Little Door. Is is not only a cute place to have lunch, but it’s also a bakery and wine shop. I just love the charm of both the Little Door, and Little Next Door. You feel like you’re at a cafe or cozy restaurant in France 🙂 This is what was ordered:
MEDITERREAN SPREAD
Baby artichoke dip, romesco, hummus, tzatziki, roasted garlic mushroom tapenade and pita bread

FRENCH ONION SOUP
So good! Highly recommended. Very cheesy and flavorful.
ESCARGOTS DE BOURGOGNE
Half dozen in garlic parsley butter
I love Escargot! It was buttery and garlicy, melts in your mouth.

SKIRT STEAK
Grilled skirt steak with green peppercorn sauce and pommes frites
Tender and flavorful steak, and loved the french fries! They were thin, crispy and had a garlic and herb flavor.
MOULES FRITES
Creamy white wine and shallot steamed mussels with pommes frites
The creamy white wine sauce was good. I kept dipping the french fries in it! Mussels were a little more fishy tasting than usual to me, but still had good flavor.
GRILLED MARINATED DAURADE FILET
Braised fennel, roasted baby artichoke, fingerling potatoes and cherry tomatoes
TURKEY PANINI
House smoked turkey, smoked bacon, avocado, wild arugula, homemade thousand island on rye bread
WILD MUSHROOM CHICKEN BREAST
Organic breast with wild mushroom Madeira cream sauce & roasted fingerling potatoes
PROSCUITTO DI PARMI WRAPPED CHICKEN BREAST
Provolone cheese and sundried tomato tapenade on baguettech
VARIETY OF PASTRIES FROM THE BAKERY
(housemade oreo cookies, French macarons, tarts, etc).
Those homemade oreos were out of this world. Tasted exactly like an oreo but better!
CREME BRULEE
Creme brulee made right. Hard top, and creamy custard at the bottom with a strong vanilla bean flavor. Loved!
Little Next Door is such a charming place to have brunch/lunch/ or even a casual dinner. I recommend going to the Little Door for dinner, and Little Next Door for lunch though. The food is great and the decor makes you feel like you’re in France. All the waiters are French too. It was the perfect holiday lunch for my work team. Great experience!
