AUSTRALIA

I packed my bags for a 3 week trip out the country. First stop —> Australia. Australia had been on the top of my bucket list for a long time. One of my closest friends moved to Sydney for a few months for work, and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to visit. She finished her 3-month job when I came to visit, and from Sydney we both traveled to Bali together. I only stayed in Australia for 5 days, which wasn’t enough time, but had a great experience nonetheless. It is such a huge continent with so much beauty and places to see. I definitely want to go back and spend more time and visit other cities. I stayed in Sydney but flew to Cairns for a night to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef for a day which was an experience of a lifetime and I highly recommend it. My friend and I took a private helicopter ride over the reef and landed on a small platform in the middle of the ocean to …

HARBOR ISLAND, BAHAMAS

In December I spent a few nights on the quaint and charming Coral Sands resort in Harbour Island, Bahamas. I flew into North Eleuthera from Miami, which was an easy 55-minute flight (there are direct flights into North Eleuthera from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Nassau). Harbour Island is located off the Northeast Coast of Eleuthera Island and is just a short boat ride from the airport. I had only been to Nassau before so was excited to experience a different part of the Bahamas this time around. Coral Sands is a boutique hotel situated on their famous pink sand beach. It’s small and privately owned, with only 38 rooms. There is charm that comes with staying at a smaller boutique hotel. The vibe was intimate–the main lobby felt as though you were in a friend’s cozy living room. My room was in the newly-designed and renovated main building above the lobby. It had double balconies and a comfortable living room area. It was beach chic and airy with lots of natural light–perfect for a romantic …

CAYO ESPANTO RESORT, BELIZE

For the ultimate luxury experience, I spent the last two nights of my trip at Cayo Espanto, a 5-star, world-class resort nestled on its own small private island off Ambergris Caye. I was picked up by boat from San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye, and pulled right up to the dock of my own 2 bedroom villa, Casa Estrella. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the full staff and their signature cocktail, “The Espanto Wave.” From that moment on, I experienced hospitality at its finest and was blown away by the exceptional service and hospitality. There were two house butlers on call, day and night. The two bedroom duplex villa was absolute heaven– each bedroom had an ocean view, there was an open living area with panoramic ocean views, two spacious bathrooms, two private decks, and a heated private plunge pool on top of the water. During the day, our villa was open so I could take in the beautiful views and fresh ocean breeze, and the house butlers closed the walls and doors each …

MONACO

After spending two weeks in Italy, I spent a couple days in the South of France with two of my girlfriends for my belated birthday. We spent 2 nights in Nice, and then Monaco for one night. Monaco a sovereign city-state located along the French Riviera. We wanted to visit Monte Carlo, which is a very prestigious area in Monaco where the famous Monte Carlo Casino is, along with the beautiful Hotel & Cafe De Paris. Monte Carlo is extravagant and expensive, but very beautiful. My girls and I spent the day walking around Monte Carlo, laying by our hotel beach and pool at the Le Meridien Beach Plaza, and went to Nikki Beach on the rooftop of the Fairmont Hotel to have a few drinks later in the day. We had an amazing dinner at Cipriani’s (the chilean sea bass was the best fish I ever had), and went out to a club to celebrate my friend and I’s birthdays. We had so much fun! Monaco & Monte Carlo is definitely a place worth seeing, …
